About: Brief introduction about the department
The Department of Mathematics at K.S.K.W Arts, Science and Commerce college ,Cidco,
Nashik was established in the year 1993 with the introduction of B.Sc. Mathematics and In
1996, B.Sc(Comp.Sci.). Mathematics holds an important place in the history of humanity and
is valuable to the future of all human beings. The department is to encourage students to
develop the problem solving, abilities which transcends confine of the field of Mathematics.
The teachers adopt techniques such as discussions, application based examples, softwares and
power point presentations to encourage the students in exploring the subject. Interactive
sessions are conducted before the beginning of a new topic or chapter to enable the students
to have in-depth knowledge and practical application of the same is taught in an elaborate
manner. Student queries and doubts are tackled through tutorials, Home assignments
conducted regularly.

To create awareness among students to understand the use of Mathematics.
To create interest among students in Mathematical Science.
To make Mathematics and study interesting innovative and Fun.
To inculcate values such as scientific attitude and Social awareness among students.
